My Wish List

My Wish List. This contains the things that I wish I had, hope to someday have or just dream about having. Maybe my wife will find this list, and surprise me one day with one of the items on the list. Guess I better put some cheaper item on the list then.

A desktop experience that draws you in and keeps you there. This is the idea behind today’s iMac. And now that idea is more powerful than ever. The new iMac is packed with all-new processors, the latest graphics technologies, innovative storage, and higher-bandwidth connectivity. And it all comes to life on the brightest and most colorful Retina display iMac has ever seen. So you get an even more immersive experience — and a scintillating new way to take it all in.Performance boosts across the board.

Faster and more powerful than ever, iMac is now equipped with seventh-generation Intel Core i5 and i7 processors and the latest high-performance graphics. Storage kicks into high gear as well, with the speedy and spacious Fusion Drive now available in standard configurations of both the 27-inch and 21.5-inch Retina models. So you can do everything you love to do on iMac. All at maximum velocity.

iMac features powerful new Radeon Pro 500 series graphics that make a spectacle of everything you see. The 27-inch iMac with Retina 5K display is loaded with up to 8GB of dedicated VRAM. And the 21.5-inch iMac with Retina 4K display ignites with up to 4GB. Both deliver visual effects and 3D graphics that exhibit raw power in its most polished form. On top of that, you get advanced video editing capabilities. Now you can edit multicam projects in Final Cut Pro X with up to five streams of full-resolution 4K video.

Accelerate your every move.
An all-new seventh-generation Intel Core processor in every iMac. It’s more speed than iMac has ever reached before — taking the 27-inch model up to 4.2GHz, and the 21.5-inch model up to 3.6GHz. And Turbo Boost gives you even more power when you’re using processor-intensive applications like Logic Pro or Final Cut Pro. It all takes place behind the scenes, but you’ll see the difference in so many ways.

Storage that’s lightning fast. And whip smart.
Storage is about space. But it’s also about speed. A Fusion Drive gives you the best of both worlds. The apps and files you use the most are automatically stored on fast flash storage, while everything else moves to a high-capacity hard drive. From booting up to launching apps to importing photos, it’s faster and more efficient to do it all with Fusion Drive. And it’s now standard on all 27-inch models,

Brighter than ever. More colors than ever.
The Retina display shines even more vividly on the new iMac. With one billion colors and 500 nits of brightness, graphics leap off the screen in a whole new light. And the pixel density is so high that you won’t detect a single one. Text is so clear and sharp, your email and documents will look smarter than ever. It’s simply the best Mac Retina display yet.

Double the speed and bandwidth of the previous generation.
Two Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) ports come standard on all iMac models, each delivering up to 40Gb/s data transfer for external drives and cameras and twice the bandwidth for video and display connectivity. Four USB 3 ports give you plenty of options for connecting peripherals, including your printer, iPhone, thumb drive, and more. And with ultrafast three-stream Wi‑Fi and Bluetooth 4.2 wireless technology, you’re instantly connected to all your favorite content.

Macro Twin Lite MT-24EX

The new Macro Twin Lite gives serious close-up, nature, and macro enthusiasts a different option in macro lighting - a directional quality of light, as opposed to the rather "Flat" character of the traditional ring lite. Two separate flash heads can be swiveled around the lens, can be aimed separately, and even removed from their holder and mounted off-camera. Like the MR-14EX, the new Macro Twin Lite MT-24EX is fully E-TTL compatible with all EOS bodies, including digital SLRs, and even allows Wireless E-TTL flash control with one or more 550EX and/or 420EX "slave units". It also provides easy ratio control of each flash head’s output, over a six-stop range.

CGE PRO 1400 HD Computerized Telescope

The CGE Pro 1400 HD combines Celestron's state of the art CGE Pro Computerized Equatorial mount with its new EdgeHD optical system.  With more than 60% more light gathering power than the 11" telescope, this observatory-class instrument is Celestron’s largest optical system in its class.
Featuring our premium StarBright XLT coatings, this telescope is especially at home as a solid platform for long exposure photography with optional CCD cameras or photographic equipment; it is a serious scientific research tool.  German Equatorial mounts are recognized as being the superior choice for astrophotography because of their rock solid stability, simple balancing and easy accessibility for attaching equipment.  With sophisticated software features like the Hibernate function, the CGE Pro can maintain its star alignment night after night without needing to be re-aligned, making it an ideal instrument for a permanent observatory facility.
New Optical Design
The EdgeHD optical system takes all of the compact power popularized by the Schmidt Cassegrain Telescope (SCT) and combines it with an improved high definition optical system for wide field, astrograph quality images.
As a visual instrument, EdgeHD optics deliver pinpoint images even with your widest field eyepiece.  You can search for all of the Messier Catalog objects, and see hundreds of other equally interesting NGC, IC and Caldwell objects with amazing clarity.  For astroimaging, the EdgeHD optics produce aberration-free images across your favorite CCD or DSLR camera.  All EdgeHD optics are designed to produce an extremely flat focal plane precise enough to match the strict tolerances of the largest commercial CCD detectors, allowing all stars to be in tight focus to the very edge of the chip.
Diffraction Limited
Some companies boast that their telescopes give diffraction limited stars in the very center of the field of view. EdgeHD optics not only produce diffraction limited stars on axis, but maintain diffraction limited stars across the entire field of view of many of the most popular astrophotography cameras.  Even at the very edge of a full frame camera chip, the EdgeHD 14" delivers star sizes of only 1 arc second!
